A very costly day for both sides but the French prevail surprisingly 8-1. The block count was almost equal and nearly all of the fighting was by infantry in the center and on the French right. Just the way the cards fell. Rather interesting having the Prussian Reserve bayonet charge the Old Guard... the French had an Infantry Attacks First fortunately for them and tragically for Ziethen. French won 8-1.
