Conscript units

I have a question about the new rules for conscript units. 
The rules say that they must retreat 2 hexes per flag and cannot be ignored. 
If they have an attached leader, neither?. 
If there is an honor leader 2 hexes away, neither?. 
If they have friendly units supporting them, neither?.

on p.6 of the new EPIC rules, it states;

French Conscript retreat two hexes for each flag that cannot be ignored.

So my understanding is that Conscripts can ignore flags the same as any other unit (attached leader, supported, some terrain like Churches), but must retreat 2 hexes per flag that cannot be ignored (or is chosen not to be ignored). Essentially the same as Spanish Line infantry.
