No official ruling I'm aware of.

Generally bonuses stack, but here I think the cards are sequential. So the BC is resolved, then the Inspired leader. So the charge +1d only applies to the first melee. My opinion.

Glory is fleeting, but obscurity is forever.

It looks like without ruling it should be tradition of usage. According to the other C&C games I can say that this situation can be easily be resolved in the both ways. Right explanation and logic for both variants can be found, so there is no way to try to find the logic. Only Richard Borg can answer or only tradition can be used. The most important thing - both players should understand at the start of the game this thing in a same way.

I take the opposite view. I think it's likely that the interaction of Bayonet Charge and Inspired Infantry Leader wasn't considered when the words of the cards were carried across from the base game.

If you compare with cards Elan, Leadership and Give Them the Cold Steel, the ruling about round 2 combat is explicit, but that's because those cards may order Cavalry. Bayonet Charge seems more in the same class as the first two of these, where the dice bonus applies for the full turn.

“Guard infantry, when ordered, will melee with 1 additional die.”
This line of text from the Bayonet Charge card lends support to allowing the bonus die to extend to an additional combat. It seems reasonable that the Inspired Infantry Leader card might allow the Bayonet Charge to operate like a Cavalry Charge for a single unit. There’s nothing on either card suggesting the contrary.

417 Laon - French Left (9&10 March 1814) [OT2024 - Round Two - 2nd game]

French (Kandras78) 9 vs Prussian (Azzy_23) 7(5+2)

French LI was immediately eliminated after it moved up in the Center. French cavalry forced some Prussian units in square.
The Guard's attack on the right became a slow and bloody struggle against all my expectations. The Prussians also managed to block and repel all French attempts on the other end of the field.
Both sides were depleted and the battle became a series of isolated and chaotic engagements.
While the Prussians managed to hold the towns till the very end, the French emerged victorious but with a bloody nose.

Two long and challenging games against a gallant opponent who faced all and every unlikely turn of events with unrelentingly good humor.

417 Laon - French Left (9&10 March 1814)  OT2024 - Round Two

Game 1
French (Grecian formula) 9 vs Prussian (Soul1st) 8
The game proceeded quite evenly for both sides until a score of 7 vs 7. At that moment is was the Prussian turn and the French occupied the majority of the town hexes. Now it was all or nothing for the Prussians. The Prussians could not get another town hex but still managed to eliminate a French unit. The leader however survived. In het next French turn they won with 9 vs 8.

Game 2
French (Soul1st) 9 vs Prussian 4 (Grecian formula)
Marc surrendered at a score of 8 for the French vs. 4 for the Prussians as the game took a long time and there was no chance for the Prussians of winning.
The French had really good cards in this game (3 leadership cards and plenty tactician cards). Most action was on the French right where the guards and some cavalry attacked, leaving only one unit of Prussians on their left. The Prussians took the two town squares on the right and had the majority of town squares for most of the game. But the French managed to drive them of with a short supply card, occupying one town hex. The French had now 7 banners for killed units and were about to get the majority of the town hexes.

I have add the game logs for both games. Somehow the saved games have been lost.

Round 2. Match 1.

FoxK, French. 9 banners
Craterus, Prussian. 6 banners.

The french opened battle with a LGM card, which allowed them to enter town in the left flank. Prussians tried to responde but it was a coy one. The french didn't last very much in launching a powerful cavalry charge, which took several prussian units to get into square. With a command card hand reduced, the possibilities of counterattack of prussians were very few. Banners were quickly falling on the side of french. Nearly at the end, some movements allowed prussians to hunt the specially weakned french units and a leader, giving them some banners before the last french hit, with the OG annihilating an art unit completely.

Round 2, Match 2.

FoxK, Prussians, 5 banners.
Craterus, French, 9 banners.

French started very cautious, moving forward some units in the center. On the other hand, prussians took advantage entering nimbly some town hexes, which gave them 2 banners. French prepared their cav charge slowly. Similar to the first battle, it caused an important chaos on the prussian ranks. Even so, these got to kill several french units. The effort left them quite decimated, while french waited until they could enter city hexes and gain the last banner.

Round 2. Game 1.

French (Dawnreader) 9 - Prussian (RiverWanderer) 7

The game started with a lot of activity on french left flank - skirmish in the city, unsuccessful attack of heavy cavalry on squared line infantry, prussians inflicted some significant damage. Then french center tried to support the attack on the left - some good cavalry attack with not that good infantry attacks: french lost heavy cavalry and two line infantries but managed to kill prussian artillery. Then bayonet charge obliterates one militia and line infantry. Prussians counterattacked with their bayonet charge, and french gave them back cold steel but not that successful. Prussians eliminating one french infantry from central city denying to give banners to the french side. French continue their attack on the left: light cavalry hacks and slashes reserve infantry, and french artillery scatter line infantry. Prussian cavalry moves from french right to center towards left flank to save the day. Meantime the french guards on the right are finally going into the fray of the battle - old guard goes through reserve infantry, but then fell to combined attack of line infantry and artillery. And then french lancers with young guard went for final attack - lancers smashing artillery, young guard repel attack of prussian militia lancers and counter-attack of french lancers finished the battle.
