I am not an expert in the Napoleonic period but do the Light Rifle units seem too powerful? I understand their increased 3 hex range but I would think that the battle dice for a unit that did not move and makes a ranged combat should be less than 3 at 3 hexes? :unsure:

They had a reasonably high percentage of Sharp Shooters in the ranks so to me it makes sense that it they hold and fire they are acting almost like snipers.

Well, as for me they seems the most powerfull unit in game too.

But you never have more than 1 RL unit in scenario so it is some kind of "game in game" - kill Rifles before they made some troubles for you :)

If you want to win the fight, say - "I believe!"

Often I'll target the rifles as one of first my banners - an "easy" kill with only 3 blocks to remove. Got to make it as easy as possible to get those French columns (Line Inf.) in contact with the enemy.

Good points all. I guess they are like the Snipers in Memoir '44 - a fun unit to have in a game though out of proportion for their real numbers in a battle.
