Played this scenario first time with GG and the Allies won. It seems that even with a command card disadvantage 6 to 4 the Allies always have an answer to the French moves because of the cards in the Rack. Because the Allies move first they get into a good defensive position on the hills in the center with a card that allows march orders. Have played this several times solitary and the Allies win 80% of the time even with the card advantage. The Russian GHC is a killing machine, rolls 9 die on a cavalry charge. Just a thought maybe the French go first. Could also be the crazy dice rolls too GG had a cavalry charge
and got one or two hits on 17 rolls. Has any one else played this?

Quick question sansmerci, how do you play solitary with CCN?

You can do it two ways, first on Vassel in the select play mode do start a new game offline then pick a scenario, select next then when choosing sides select solitaire. Or you can go to look for a game online and do the same process. If your lucky someone will join you and play a regular game. :)

Re Playing solitaire.

I don't play solitaire much as I am not very keen, but when desperate have played 4 C&C games on my own.

I look for a game with even command cards or just 1 difference (note this is when playing with no tact cards). I then play each side by drawing on their turn 2 command cards. I use one which when used goes into the discard pile and the one not used goes into a re-shuffle pile. Each time there is a melee I roll percentage dice and a 7% or lower will result in a first strike. These are taken out before game start.

If the deck reaches its end re-shuffle THE UN-USED Command cards only and then go through them the same way by playing one and discarding it and putting the un-used one in a seperate pile. Re-Shuffle all the cards if an Elan card is played or when all Command cards have been used by going through the re-shuffle pile multiple times.

Its enjoyable as you never know what cards the other side will get. Not a perfect simulation of the game, but enough to keep the solo player in the dark as to what is coming.

The command cards that have 3 stars on them allow 3 units to use the "On the move" order which is a non combat move. History shows that units in march formation when attacked where at a disadvantage. Maybe the attackers could get a one die advantage or the flag rolls are doubled. The marker for on the move could be left on the units for the opposing player to see. Just a thought.
