Keeping Tally of Battles

Does this site provide a way to keep tally of the battles one has played, including a Win/Loss ratio? I understand we can vote whether one or the other side won for a specific battle but this doesn't register whether I won or not, right?

I just thought it'd be cool to register the battles I've played and whether I had won them or not. I imagine that once I have 500 battles under my belt I will want to see a breakdown of the battles I lost/won in (and even better, by how many victory flags!). I suppose there isn't a way to make sure a registered user isn't lying about their battle record but I think that if you're on this site you probably follow a decent enough honor system.

In any case, I'm very happy to have found Napoleonics and this forum.

Thanks for your time.

Cheers.

As far as I know, there's no way of doing that on this site. I use s spreadsheet. In addition to tracking won / loss ratios, I also use it to keep track of which scenarios I've played with which opponent. (Having gotten to that age where I can't remember... anything.)

I actually use two spreadsheets, one for Vassal games, and one for face-to-face games. It's quite interesting how different the statistics can be. If you're a geek, that is (like me).

Ah but Thom,

If you were a real geek you'd keep 3 sheets. VASSAL, FTF & Combined :cheer:

Talking of Geeks, I keep a s/sheet which includes games, results, opponents and scores. And then a total of each and against whom etc!

Very nice, would both of you care to share an link/image of your sheet/s? Perhaps we can combine your efforts to make an "official" version that anyone can download...!

I personally takes notes of how we perceived the scenario's balance, each time we play one. After a while you get to replay the scenarios where the balance is best.

Also this game's tactics are extremely specialised and thus difficult to fully master. If you're good at this game you'll beat anyone on any map who's new at this game. That could influence generic results a lot, especially if the highest contributors to such a system would probably fit the earlier player description.
