MT 10 Finals, Game 1, DP 04 Guilford Court House
Americans: Grondeaux, 10 banners, 49 blocks lost
British: Tony, 9 banners, 48 blocks lost

The game started out with several rather brutal exchanges of ranged fire in the center. When the smoke cleared, both sides had 4 banners. The game then see-sawed back and forth. A series of British pushes on their right threatened to give them the game, but the Americans squeaked it out. The Americans had pretty hot dice at the start of the game. That, and their dastardly ability to pick off British leaders sure helped them. Thanks to Tony for a great game. Game 2 should be real interesting!

almost stayed up to watch, but too tired.
Let us know when the final match is on.

FWIW, there are two Heat matches still outstanding
Charles vs nekengren2 - R1 Bunker Hill
Tanris vs Michalxo - R3 Brandywine Creek

make no difference to the tournament outcome, but it would be interesting to see a full set of results for the tournament. Brandywine has been won either way, and Bunker Hill is close, despite 4 British wins.

Glory is fleeting, but obscurity is forever.

Final Match Schedule

For those who might be interested... I will post the match time for the last game in MT 10 here, as soon as it is determined. We had it tentatively set up for October 22, but that didn't work out.

MT 10 Final Match Schedule

For anyone interested...Tony and I will be playing the final match (DP 04 Guilford Court House) in the MT10 tournament tonight, 27 October, at 8 PM Eastern US time. If I can calculate correctly, that's 0000 GMT on 28 October.

Round 1 of the finals was a very closely fought battle, so this should be interesting!

MT 10 Finals, Game 2, DP 04 Guilford Court House
Americans: Tony, 9 banners, 54 blocks lost
British: Grondeaux, 10 banners, 40 blocks lost

Another nail-biter. The British cleared most of the North Carolina Militia from the field works on the right and right center. Their center attack then stalled in the face of stiff American resistance. The British attacked repeatedly with the Hessians on the right, with the Americans attacking on their center-right. At the end, a single die roll could have won it for the Americans, by picking off a British leader. But it was not to be.

Thanks to Tony for two great games!

Hope you all enjoyed the AWI experiment, and on the whole I think the scenarios worked out pretty well with the exception of Germantown.
