2 matches remaining in the MT10 heats, and the composition of the Beta Semi-Final hangs in the balance. So those players with outstanding matches, please complete them ASAP.

Overall, the AWI scenarios seem well received and to have played out pretty well.

There are 2 matches outstanding

Tanris vs Michalxo - Brandywine Creek
Charles vs nekengren2 - Bunker Hill

the results will determine whether Michal or Nick go into the Semi-final, and these matches are well overdue now. So unless I hear by Sunday evening that they are to be played imminently, I'll have to make a determination on them, based upon average results.

Please get these played if possible.

So based upon the most recent email contacts, I'm determining the outstanding games in favour of Michalxo and Charles.

This makes the Semi Finalists
Alpha
Tony vs Mark McG

Beta
Michalxo vs Grondeaux

Scenario is
MM02 Germantown (4 October 1777)

play twice, once each way

Glory is fleeting, but obscurity is forever.

Alpha Semi-Final 2
Germantown
British: Mark McG 5 banners 12 blocks
Americans: Tony 1 banner 16 blocks

Americans didn't press forward as much in the 2nd game, so the British claimed Chew Mansion, and the valiant Hessans fought through until they ran into a First Strike. British Bayonet Charge turned the game claiming the death of Sullivan, and a American Line, and the unfortunate Hessans.

The American response was a combined arms attack on a 2 block Hessan LT, 5 dice which entirely misses (3 Yellow, 2 Red). The Hessans took this miracle, and finished the game with a kill on a weakened American LN.

Overall, the Americans need some help in this scenario.

Glory is fleeting, but obscurity is forever.

MT 10 Semi
Game 2

Mark McG(British) 5 Lost 12 blocks vs Tony (Americans) 1 Lost 16 blocks

Americans started first 2 turns with Coordinated Advance and 3rd turn with Recon in Force. Then had no center cards the rest of the
game. British counterattacked hard in the center and whittled down Americans. Americans in last 2 turns had opportunities
to bloody British and were able to kill 1 unit but whiffed on the 2nd.

A great game!
Thanks to Mark for the good game and for organizing the Tournament!

Tony

MT10 Semi-Finals, Games 1 & 2

Game 1: Germantown
British-Grondeaux, 5 flags, 12 blocks lost
Americans-Michalxo, 1 flag, 21 blocks lost

Game 2: Germantown
British-Michalxo, 5 flags, 12 blocks lost
Americans-Grondeaux, 2 flags, 18 blocks lost

Gernamntown seems impossible for the Americans to win, with the fog reducing the American infantry to acting like Artillery (no ranged fire when moving). Both games saw most of the action in the center. In Game 1, the British cavalry was the deciding factor. Game 2 saw the dice being very cold for both sides for much of the game, which really hurt the British. It seems they turned hot for Michalxo the very last turn, after the Americans got their second banner.

(I forgot to record game 2, I'm afraid.)

So the final is between

Tony & Grondeaux

Scenario: DP04 Guilford Court House (15 March 1781)

it's a 10 banner scenario, so a longish game.

Tony is at GMT -4 (EST) still, but Thom has re-located and is now at GMT -5 I believe.
Close timezones regardless.
