Round 2 DP05 Hubbarton
Grondeaux: Americans, 7 Banners, 19 Blocks Lost
Charles: British, 5 Banners, 28 Blocks Lost

The British started out by attacking the American center, hoping to catch them by surprise. The Americans were able to respond, and after a series of attacks and counter-atttacks the British pulled back, with the score at one point being 3-0 for the Americans. The action then moved to the American right, where the action was quite hot. While the Americans successfully eliminated both British rifle units, the British Grenadiers eventually made their presence known and the British tied the score up at 5-5. The final action took place on the American left, where the Americans successfully repulsed a British attack to win the scenario.

Quite a nail-biter, with the initiative see-sawing back and forth. My thanks to Charles for a great and challenging game.

P.S. File uploaded.

Sounds like it was a great battle...glad it was close and "a nail biter".

Congrats to the Americans for holding down their breakfast AND holding off the British.

Round 2 DP05 Hubbarton
Michalxo: Americans, 0 Banners, 26 Blocks Lost
Mark McG: British, 7 Banners, 15 Blocks Lost

British starting hand wasn't great, but a Fire & Hold opening card whittled down the American front line. A brisk exchange of fire ensued, with the British coming off the better 2-0, but three single Block Line headed for the rear.

The Americans consolidated and ralled, whilst the British used their extensive 'Left'cards to move up the Rifle Lights and other Left flankers. Bit perplexed by the Hessan Rifle Light, since I wasn't aware the British used Rifles until after the AWI period. Also used off my 2 Bombard cards to re-position, with an American counterattack frightening my Rifle Lights out of the woods.

At this point I was wondering how to crack the solid American defences, and the Grenadiers on the Right were the key. They drew an American response which roughed up the Grenadiers, but ultimately they prevailed, killing a 3rd American.

The continuing flow of Left cards brought both Rifles into play, who polished off a 4th American in 2 turns.

Finally, with a Bayonet Charge on the Right & Centre-Right, the British saw their chance and charged. A weakened Line fell, and luckily the Leader with him as well (6-0). The other attacks were weak, and did little damage, and no retreats.

At this point Michal went into full assault, hoping for a miracle. His attack went poorly, and the battle back finished it.

On the file upload, I'm apparently doing something really wrong, as I can't get my files uploaded. (Not that I really want to have the world see the drubbing I took at Tony's hands!), but...

I click on the "Add File" button.
I select the file. Up to this point, it's the same thing as any file upload. Then,
Nothing appears in the text box after the "1." and before the "Add File" button, but if you hover the mouse over the "Add File" button, it displays the name of the file.
If I submit the message, no file gets attached. At no point do I see anything that says "Insert."

Any ideas?

something for Alessandro.. about the only suggestion I can make is double click on the selected file when Adding, see if that makes a difference.

Late thought.. it is a vlog file? Make sure it has the .vlog suffix.

If you have choosen your file with "add file"
you should seen this button Insert (see example above),
if you click on it,
in the main text section, you get now the text line,
with the file, you want to add.

Add last "Submit" and wait, sometimes it can take 2-3 minutes, before
the Website react ;)

Thanks Michael, for the screen shot. It tipped me off that my problem was a browser issue.

My standard browser is Firefox and that was the problem. For whatever reason, you never see the "Insert" button seen in Bayerkini's screen shot, and that Mark referenced in his post. I tried using Internet Explorer and, like magic, everything worked as it should.

So, my advice would be... if you are having file upload issues to this web site, first make sure you are using Internet Explorer to access the site.

I suppose this means I now have to post that embarrassing game with Tony.

Just tried Firefox 8.0 and it worked correct, maybe you need any addon for Firefox (Java for example), but i am not a Firefox expert ;)

Round 5 MM04 Monmouth (28 June 1778)
Greg O: British, 7 Banners, 29 Blocks Lost
nekengren2: American, 6 Banners, 30 Blocks Lost

A very close fight, basically a battle of attrition that left the field almost empty of Brits at the end....
