MT8 - Austrians was created by Mark-McG
Looking ahead, MT8 will focus on the Austrians, and given the difficulty of the Yahoo! Group, I'm thinking to use this site as the main communication point.

I'm torn between making MT8 the 1805 scenarios, or the 1809.
I tend to a chronological approach, yet the 1809 scenarios are likely to be better balanced.

What are the thoughts out there?

Scenarios
1805
Wertingen - 8 October 1805
Günzburg - 9 October 1805
Haslach - 11 October 1805
Elchingen - 14 October 1805
Verona - 18 October 1805
Caldiero - 30 October 1805

1809
Eckmühl - 21/22 April 1809
Ratisbon - 23 April 1809
Ebelsberg - 3 May 1809
Travis - 17/18 May 1809
Aspern-Essling - 21/22 May 1809
St Michael-Leoben - 25 May 1809
Wagram - 5/6 July 1809
Stockerau - 8 July 1809

Glory is fleeting, but obscurity is forever.

I would start Tournament with the first scenario in the Austrian rulebook and play the scenarios in order of the rulebook, to learn all new units and rules :)

And there is no Austerlitz scenario in, to represent the end of the 3rd coalition war :), so we need a standard fanmade Austerlitz scenario, all involved countries (French, Austrian, Russian) are available now

And using this website as main communication point, would be a possbility. But so far its easier to create databases and file uploads into the Yahoo Group, if you know where

Looking at the revised scenario listing, there are fewer 1805 scenarios

Wertingen - 8 October 1805
Günzburg - 9 October 1805
Haslach-Jungingen - 11 October 1805
Elchingen - 14 October 1805
Mariazell - 8 November 1805

Glory is fleeting, but obscurity is forever.

I know, we all want try the Austrian now,
also on next MT.
But it would be also nice, if 1-2 older scenarios (also fanbased) are played.

I can imagine, that the new fanmade Quatre Bras is worth a try and also the
official Waterloo, now with the updated Walled Farm rules :)

Now the Austrians are here, it seems like a good time to start up a new Mini-Tournament.

Firstly, you must get the C&CNapoleonics module 2.4 available from

www.vassalengine.org/wiki/Module:Command..._Colors:_Napoleonics

Having reviewed the scenarios that came with the game, I felt that the 1805 scenarios were a little small, and with only 5, that there were some scenarios yet to come, notably Austerlitz, but also Verona and Caldiero from the Italian sector.

So for those reasons, I've picked out the 1809 campaign instead.

For the preliminary games 5 games

307 Sacile (16 April 1809) 8 banners
308 Teugen-Hausen (19 April 1809) 8 banners
310 Eggmühl - Day1 (21 April 1809) 6 banners
312 Eggmühl - Day 2 French Left (22 April 1809) 9 banners
313 Eggmühl - Day 2 French Right (22 April 1809) 8 banners

and the Semi-Finals and Finals would be from Aspern-Essling & Wagram.

So I've put the signup in the Database section of the Yahoo! Group, and I'd hope for 10 players. Let me know if you have difficulties using the Yahoo! database, it isn't simple.

Hope to see you across the battlefield.
