Very well played gentlemen. There's a French double cavalry attack supported by two different artilleries at some point that is truly remarkable. The large number of single block units at the end of the battle testifies for the skill of both players.

Round 6 - Wavre
Gonzo (Allies) 7 banners; 20 blocks lost
RiverWanderer (French) 8 banners; 28 blocks lost
Stern resistance from Prussian Line in the windmill drew first blood against the French assault but left the sides even at a banner each*. Stalled in the centre, the French turned to the flanks. A carefully planned attack on Lower Wavre dissolved in the heat of battle, but again the net result was even. The French pressed on, both sides gradually funnelling more units to the flanks.
Despite the initial set-back, the French took Lower Wavre with a renewed assault and starting to push across the Dyle. On the opposite flank, attempts to screen an attack with cavalry were less successful and eventually the French were driven off (with the loss of a banner). Now, with night approaching (two Prussian scout cards), the French made a desperate Grand Manoeuvre, leaving five units across the Dyle, in an all or nothing bid to win the battle. Around Lower Wavre, the plan was sound but on the French left flank, the hastily positioned French had walked into a trap. The Prussians threw everything at the two ensnared French Line units and would have won the day but for the lucky escape of Gerard and the survival of the second of the French units. After that climatic finish, the French had four surviving units across the Dyle, securing a win just in time.
Thanks to Gonzo for a tough game with a close and brutal ending.
We had one sync issue during the game which hampered recovery from a complete computer crash just at the end. Hopefully the log file is readable enough.
*from a Prussian Forch March, an inadvertent illegal combat went unnoticed, generating this more-or-less neutral result..

Round 3 Groosbeeren
EZPickins (French): 7 banners and 48 losses
Viridovilas (Prussian): 10 banners and 30 losses
It was a bloody battle. The two armies pinned each other right in the centre, with the French firmly holding Groosbeeren and the Prussian the windmill and the hill just in front of the town. A few musket and artillery exchange didn't sort out much more than a rapid change of the units holding the key points. Decisive actions took place therefore on the wings. At the very start, Prussians weren't able to gain the hills on their left flank and that gave the opportunity to French to fire to them from the heights. The momentum shifted when a Prussian cavalry charge managed to cut through the French lines, hitting a few infantries and artilleries. But it was on its right that the Prussian made the day thanks to a Grand Manoeuvre that let Von Bulow place his elite grenadier unit, along with an artillery and a light regiment in the right position to strike their final blow.

Round 2 Auerstadt
Togan Alper (French) 10 banners, 30 blocks lost
MarkMG (Allies) 6 banners, 26 blocks lost
The French were very lucky and attacked the Prussians first from the right Flank then from the left flank. They intentionally kept their distance from the strong Prussian center. The poor card draw of the Prussians prevented them to attack from the center so the result was an unexpected victory for the French.

Round 5 Plancenoit
ToganAlper (French) 9 banners gained and 23 blocks lost
Gonzo (Prussian) 6 banners gained and 31 block lost
The french were ready this time to battle the commander called the old guard and the young guard from the back to the front line, after repositioninig the artillery he ordered fierce attacks from the center to break the Prussian center line. I was very lucky with my card draw, which helped a lot to plan a nice attack at the center and the french right flank. There was no action at the left flank and the cav never got summoned to the field.
Thanks to Gonzo for being such a good sport despite my great dice rolls
(
We got interrupted couple of times so I only have the fist part of the battle and the last bit

Gonzo (Prussians) 11 Banners, 33 blocks lost
EZPickens (French) 8 Banners, 41 blocks lost
French attacks on flanks initially town falnk towns, but Prussian counter attacks wer ablle to take both back. Frnch if and guards closed several times but below average luck let several Prussian LN to fire back, eventually trading units. Tough fought battle with flurries of Tactics cards. One Tacitic First Strike was playing 3 times due to Master Tactician cards on both sides.

Round 2
Gonzo (Prussians) 10 Banners, 28 blocks lost
Cavie (French) 7 Banners, 46 blocks lost
Early Frend assault on center town went horribly wrong, losing a LN and damaging another with no hits on Russ Gr. French eventually take and hold town until last turn with a flurry of tactics incl short supply. French shifted Art to front on hills with move art 3 and reposition into front hex of town. Russian cav charge damaged art, but French return cav charge rolled poorly and IW counters stopped follow up. Next turn eliminated art and LC and 1 pt Prossian cav was mostly able to flee but lost one unit with the 2 VP leader, ouch. Standard attrition and sniping continued with wildly varying luck, mostly in Prussian favor. Final turn French up 9-8 play leader and roll for win 3 dice on RGr getting 2 flags. Russian then played only tactic card of the game for him allowing 2 hex move nest ot art unsupported in town, rolling three hits gaining 9th medal and negating 2 of the French medals. French attack from adj 2 pt unit in town had it eliminated in bb for a 3 point swing and game. Great luck throughout game and especially on last turn enabled Gonzo to pull out victory. It looked like a sure French win until last turn. Thanks to Cavie for nailbiting game.
