your English is great! I know that you are coming from a preference for keeping this game system at its most pure and tactical form. For example, I know that you were not very happy with the addition of expansion five rules and cards. special rules then would not be appealing to you from a pure gaming sense.
I do not mind seeing special rules, so long as they are trying to re-create conditions of a battle but not put in a straitjacket on the options available to players. for example, how could you create a scenario for the battle of Katzbach without special rules relating torrential rains and thunderstorms and all but made musket fire impossible as the powder could not be ignited per the accounts of the actual battle. it was a melee bloodbath. You could put units historically on the map for this battle and play by regular rules well enough, but you would be completely ignoring what actually created hardships on those involved and get no sense of the real conditions.
happily, this particular battle would probably be fun to play out either way. With or without special rules.
I think that a tasteful approach, adding the special rules that re-creates the particular's that were very important in a battle, are okay.
it is difficult however when creating scenarios to remember to try to keep it simple as possible. thankfully, we have friends such as you and Michael and Mark to help us with editing !!!
I have actually recently started going back to my scenarios created a few years ago and trying to simplify where appropriate based on having a lot more game experience now and keeping in mind exactly what you mentioned. still trying to find that happy balance with keeping a historical flavor while still making the game straightforward enough to be enjoyed by others
