Round 3: 509 509 Lindenau (16 October 1813)
GregO (Allies) - 7 banners (46 blocks lost, 3 rallied)
Mark_T (French) - 8 banners (24 blocks lost)

Heavy Cavalry fighting on the french left initiated this fight. Then came the Allies for the centre, but was thrown back again and again.

The allies did a grand maneuvre and did a massive cavalry advance on their left and took down most of the french Grand Battery to hold the hill. It came at a price though, and with the fight coming to an end the french charged with bayonets out of the town into the forest to finish off some of the scattered austrian brigades.

Massive forces was mostly unspent on the allies right, but the moment was just not there for them.

I thought that 509 Lindenau was a 6 banner victory for the winner.

I think there was a mix up in Mark's posting, Allies, Greg O won 6-2. Really busy at the moment, so can't give a blow by blow recap, but file is attached.

looking over the log file, a couple of comments;
1. Leaders stop when moving into Woods
2. Call Forward reserves must be adjacent to a leader
3. RR is just 2 hexes

So I think I must make a decision in this tournament to drop oppi and Toganalper from the tournament, and this creates something of an unbalance in the scoring since the scenarios are worth different banner counts. None the less, I can reduce the scores to get a result, and that seems like progress now.

The alternative is getting 2 substitutes to replace oppi and Toganalper, and I believe Tarheel will be available imminently. Any other players interested in stepping in?

How many games has Oppi got left remaining or at least outstanding?
I can probably complete his schedule or a slab of it if it means keeping your tournament on keel. though of course it depends when. I am available over the next 2 days during the day.

Dear Friends,

I am very very sorry to not to be abel to play my games. For hose who have played with me in the Ancients tournaments, they would know that I am normally pretty reliable and on time with my gaming and scheduling. Unfortunately, this year my yacht racing has become a big burden with 7 times of 10 days traveling to different parts of the world. Together with this due to my job I have to travel at least twice each week to really places with limited acsess like Turkmenistan or Bali etc.

So sadly I was not able to schedule and play my games. I sincerely apologies from all of you due to this disturbance and I hope that you will not hold this against me since I really enjoy being a part of this fun and challenging group.

Looking forward to play against all of you in the Coming Tournaments in he winter.
