Wonderful couple of games, Stephen. Well fought by you to make it through. It has taken me awhile to come to enjoy Napoleonics in relation to the other C&C games, but I am there. Just in time for everything to be ruined by Generals and Marshals ;)

I resigned my game(s), because i see less chances to win it still overal, so instead waste more time and speed up the tournament, Mark is 2nd Finalist.

Gratulation :)

And i have more time because of a lot of other work around CCN (module updating) and Battlecry (converting CCN tactic cards to BC) :)

My dice are the hell!

Played the first leg of the Semi-Finals in the early AM hours for me, so I hadn't really had much opportunity to report anyway, and was thinking Michael might change his mind.

What with a great opening hand, and correctly divining that the dice weren't being blue that day, I took a 6-2 lead. Michael's computer crashed out, and when he came back he resigned. Said he couldn't win with his cards, and couldn't overcome a 9-2 loss in scenario 1. So he was resigning both semi-finals. I have my doubts I could win that easily to be honest.

I've never drawn such a good opening hand, Cavalry Charge, Fire & Hold, Cold Steel and Attack Left (which started close up).
Later on I had 2 Bombards, which wiped out 2 Anglo-Dutch Artillery (lots of Red dice).
I then had Forced March, 2x First Strike, and Cold Steel (still), which set a fearsome attack attack up the Left Flank. Coupled with Michael's cold dice, it decimated the Anglo-Dutch right.

waiting for the other shoe to drop now...

Sometimes you must retreat of a battle to save your strengths for upcoming big battles ;)
No it´s ok that Mark plays the finals now, realistic i could only delay this fact.
And because i have enough work around i can spent this time now for other projects.
Current i must also decline the request to create a "Great War" module too (additional i don´t like any lore rules/mechanics), because i have a lot of work/ideas
around CCN and BC and some other Tabletop games :)

Looking forward to first battles with the new command and tactician decks (tomorrow live at home at my Waterloo Day).

MT14 Final

Managed to get together with Steven today and bash out the Finals.

Scenario: MD15 Waterloo (Alternate)

Game 1:
French: Mark McG 8 Banners 22 Blocks lost
Allies: Scipio 2 Banners 30 blocks lost

Something of a odd match, with the Prussians approaching swiftly early on.
Short Supply got the French into Hougomont, and Forced March got La Haye Sait, which got bumped out by artillery bombardment.
The Prussians came before I could get my act going on the Right, but they marched into a storm of fire. One Prussian RI eliminated outright in a combined arms of 8d. Lucky pick of Bayonet Charge allowed me to move in the Centre and trap and polish off Picton on the Guard Cavalry for the win.

Game 2:
French: Scipio 8 banners and 27 blocks lost
Allies: Mark McG 4 banners and 28 blocks lost

French pushed up hard in the centre with their cavalry, 2 consecutive charges. Allied infantry squared up and held, and the Centre artillery did very well before it croaked. Couldn't hold off the French infantry up the centre as well, and at 6-2 it looked like a draw. Allies did a Forced March up the Right flank which managed to get 2 more banners before the Allied defeat. Allied centre was empty...

Prussians never showed...
