Another little house rule idea to further reflect Russian Stoicism

Russian Line Units at 'starting' block strength, when close combat is declared against them by other infantry, may Battle Back with a +1 Die.OR,another idea would be that Line Units always Battle Back with a +1 Die against infantry, regardless.
Again,Mr Borg has allowed for 'Russian Stoicism' by means of the inherent ability to ignore 1 flag, but this little house rule may be helpful to those who feel the 3 Block Units makes the Russian Army a little brittle.

Just to be clear, the idea is for this little house rule to be used by itself, and not in conjunction with others,as i'm sure that would cause unbalancing.

That's true. But what i like about this house rule, though i have'nt playtested it, is that if the Russian Unit does survive the attack, the Battle Back with a +1 Die rewards the player for choosing not to retreat and i think would help to capture the doggedness of the Russians-it would certainly make the French slightly more cautious in engaging in melee combat.

The other thing i like about the Battle Back with a +1 Die for Russian Line ,is that it augments the ignore 1 flag rule in creating a unique special ability simliar to their counterparts in other Armies.
But i personally am happy with CCN and it's expansions and how they play- 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'.So these liitle house rules ideas for me are simply that-ideas that might be fun to try out.
