C&C Video games

Hello!
I'm just discovering this company who proposes existing board Wargames as video games.
They already did C&C "The Great War" (see under) and say they will soon produce a CCA.
I hope they will make a CCN some day! What di you think?

My experience is, such computer implementations (also with an AI) works only with very simple/base games.

E.g. Battlecry, CCA, with less different cards, units, terrain and rules.

It don´t work so far, with games with a lot of different of units, games and cards (combinations).
Because then they must programm a lot of different (rules) possibilities, including the official FAQ.

So i assume, if we get indeed in future a CCN adaption, those will content only the base (old blue) card deck.

I am already have doubt, if they can program this correct with all different national units (rules) and the lot of terrain.

I agree with you about the doubts.
Maybe they will not create CCN at all and stay with the most played CCA only?
I say "most played" because the last month on Vassal the server statut went 249 x CCA for 99 x CCN ...

I think you need to consider only the Main Room entries on VASSAL to get a picture of user population.
1 player can generate a lot of entries by making new rooms.

Last month was the final Round of the CCA VASSAL Open, and no VASSAL tournament at all for CCN.
THis month is the CCA Quarter Finals, and the CCN VASSAL Open has kicked off.
So I'd expect a change in use to reflect that. In short, I think usage is seasonal.

I got it - But when they released CCN I though this game was the most achieved of the C&C and that after few years it was going to go up past CCA but I think today CCA is still more played than CCN so CCA has a better overall success isn't it? OK on BGG CCN is better noted today (see under) but much less owned if I'm not wrong.
