Too outlandish? was created by Tarheel
I have had an idea recently to create a series of fictional battles pitting various of the traditional allies against each other. There really is no historical value to this, but I have felt it should be quite entertaining to see how the various powers would compete with one another. Also, having the element of fictional battlefields opens up possibilities that sticking strictly with the historical makes otherwise impossible.

Would this be a wasted effort and would people find this ridiculous?

I don't want to put any effort into something that people would consider useless to play.

Another project I have on my list is the battle of Bautzen, but I had felt it would be fun to postpone that with a series of the above-mentioned fictional settings.

Comments? Ideas?

There are still a lot of missing historical battles,
so i would prefer some more fansetup scenarios of these.

I also prefer historical battles, but I think there is room for inventiveness in those battles.

I was looking today at the Battle of Tolentino
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Tolentino

The Austrians are fairly clear cut, but the Neapolitan army could be anything really. Modified Spanish, modified French, or totally new.

The Russian-Ottoman wars are also there for invention.

With the Prussians out now, there is also the 7 Years War options.

I would LOVE a point-buy scenario generation system for this game, kind of like the one in Battlelore 2nd edition. Historicity doesn't bother me as this game really isn't intended as a full-out simulation anyhow.

Not really sure where this came from, but I found it on my Netbook files. I've never used it, but hopefully it can be of use to you.
