I've been loooking at some scenarios for the 2nd Crusade, which generally ended badly in Western Anatolia.
A problem with the scenario set is that they are generally very similar, Turks ambush the Crusaders as they try and cross a pass or river. I feel like scenarios should have a quirk or character to them, making them a little different from the others, and for this scenario I've tampered with the retreat rules, which has all sorts of ramifications, which is what I'm asking here about. Essentially, I'm changing the Turk baseline to the 4 corners of the map. The Turks retreat, evade and feign retreat towards the closest corner.
Special Rules
• Seljuk Units retreat, feign retreat and evade towards the closest Rally Point. In event of a tie, the Turk player chooses.
The retreat distance is as normal, but the path must always shorten the distance to the Rally Point marker. If the unit cannot so shorten the distance, it loses a block for each retreat hex it cannot fulfill.
so the question is, how comprehensible is the Blue text to you?
the addendum question is, are their other times that the baseline is relevant other than Retreat, evade and feigned retreat.
For clarity, the Crusaders retreat normally, towards their baseline.
