001 Utus River (447 AD)
1 year 1 week ago #168 by Tuscan Centurion
A slog at first with cavalry action on the Byzantine right flank that had each side even (3-3) then Byzantine infantry advanced in the centre and broke the Hunnic line and some Hun Cavalry. (6-4). Then the Byzantine left pushed passed the Hun cavalry and archers and cleaned up the routed remnants of the centre to win comfortably (9-5).

The Huns destroyed the Roman center using heavy cavalry, though they took some losses. The Roman left managed to push back the Huns using ranged attacks and some cavalry and on the Hun left a steady advance pushed the Romans to the limit of the field an a final Cry Havoc card with an inspired action bonus managed to kill three units for a 9-3 win.
