002 & 003 - Combining the two Catalaunian Fields Battles

Has anyone tried to combine the two Catalaunian Fields battles (#002 & 003) into a single grand engagement?

I would surmise that the right column of the left battlefield and the left column of the right battlefield (the ones with the Hun MBC between Attila (left) and Ellac (right) and the Alans HBC with Sangiban) are overlapped. That would mean the battlefield is 25 hexes wide with the Roman left/Hun right sector being 8.5 hexes wide; the center being 7 plus 2 half hexes wide; and the Roman right/Hun left being 8.5 hexes wide.

But I'm not sure how to "combine" the command cards, inspired action tokens, and victory banners. Would you just add both wing scenarios together, getting 10 Roman and 10 Hun command cards, 7 Roman and 5 Hun inspired action tokens, and 14 victory banners? Or would you do some fraction of that combined total?

I would like to do that sometime in the future with my gaming group. I would be using 15mm figures mounted on 'standard DBA' bases (40mm wide) with four bases per unit, all on a 4" hexed battlemap.

You can see my initial efforts on my blog, ColCampbell's BarracksColCampbell's Barracks .

Thanks for your assistance.

Commands Colors Medieval EPIC – Catalaunian Fields (451 AD)

That was very close game and real fun!

Thanks, Mark. I downloaded the Ancients Epic rules and I'm sure we'll use them when we're able to get around to playing it. Right now we are constrained by the pandemic from gathering in our normal site that we use for "big" games.
