sounds like, from reading this card, that an artillery unit can both move and battle. Is that correct?

Each unit, which you order because of an dice symbol of Battlecry, battles with +1 die, ALL other basic rules apply.
So an ART can not move and battle, only a Horse ART (if such is available in scenario)!

My dice are the hell!
