Just stumbled in from a Link given on a BGG Post. I'm ACW Buff
so BC was an instant buy for me. I prefer the original BC miniatures
to the 150 Anniversary version.(although I use the Game Board/Rules & Cards
from the newer addition).

I've been working on a project to use Compass Games Price of Freedom Game
but to fight the battles using BC. Basically I'm doing a Division Level
Game where every Division breaks down to it's Brigades (a single BC figure).

So I've painted up most of 3 BC Games miniatures & a few from the
Anniversary edition (to represent dismounted Cavalry). Now I just need
to finish the bases & I can finally play .

Well all the bases are finished, including the 50MM hex Division Bases(there basically a
movement tray, but also include Corps/Div/Brigade Info.

I have a ton of Flags to do now including some Brigade Flags I got off the Internet.I have
included 3 per side "elite Brigades as Irish,Texas,ect. which get their own Flag & use
the Anniversary edition flag figure .

Having grown in Pennsylvania I was raised on CW history and have always been an avid reader of anything I can find on the subject. My Great Grandfather was in the 203rd PA Regiment late in the war. He was assigned to the Army of the James. He was involved in siege operations against Richmond until 12/07/1864 and with operations in and around Fort Fisher, NC until he was mustered out on 06/22/1865. I have his sword and discharge papers. Very nice mementos indeed.

I also love board games of all kinds including Sid Mier's Civilization BUT this past summer I found the 150th anniversary edition of BC at a garage sale. It was in pristine...and I mean pristine condition and after some minor haggling got it (and Axis & Allies) for $15. We started playing right away...initially made some mistakes with rules and movements but came across several websites that helped clarify things. Today while researching some additional questions I found this site. It is really an excellent place and from what I have already seen there are a lot of great folks participating here. I am looking forward to reading topics, contributing what I can and enjoying all that is offered.
