Commands & Colors: Ancients 6 module version 4.2 is now available for download.
The update brings more scenarios and new gameplay features.
100+ pre-set scenarios added.
New and improved Help resources and player aids.
Toolbar and hotkey controls expanded, including one touch end turn and combat commands.
Draw and End Turn actions can be completed by either side, aiding PBEM.
Click on blocks to order and mark for combat.
On screen player tags and command size display.
Several features can be tailored to personal preference.
Block command menus de-cluttered once a game starts.
CDG Solo System (join a game as Solitaire).
See release notes 3 for more.
The module is considerably larger than previous versions due to more scenarios and functionality. Log files are typically 500Kb+ in size which may be a consideration if saving many log files on a free cloud service. The basics of game play will be familiar to users of earlier versions and the module’s Help menu includes further guidance.
Compatibility
Not backward compatible with earlier versions, except for reading v4 log files and watching games.
Requires Vassal v3.6.7 or later.
Block view preference (Icons or Number) will not persist until Vassal v3.6.8.

Today I accidentally clicked on the Ancients Scenario Statistics FULL page and saw this number.
No more than a case, but a rather particular "one". (sorry for the pun)
Thank you all for continuing to submit your results on this site, we are creating an excellent database with more and more truthful statistics.
Go on playing.
Ale

I've recently been contact by one of Richard Borg playtesters (Steven Malecek) asking for permission to post his "solitaire rules".
Here they are, with his introduction:
I am one of Richard's playtesters for 20 years now, during the Flu Pandemic we have found it hard to play, I know there are solitaire rules out there that have been adapted from other games to use with C&C but I have come up with this simple set of solitaire rules. I have tested it over 60 games at least 5 times with each version and it works well even using Combat/Tactical Cards and in EPIC modes.

Hello everybody,
I've just setup a new website module to show all scenarios from actual map category.
If you enter in a specific scenario and scroll down at the bottom you'll find a section called "Maps in this Category".
This section groups all scenarios from the actual map category in a more graphic way.
This option is available in both scenario view and category view. It's also fully functional on mobile device!
I hope you like it.
Alessandro

Sincerely
Alessandro

You can find it HERE.
Can't wait to receive your feddback on the forum, obviously this a sort of "draft" and can be easily fixed with your suggestions.
Enjoy playing.
A couple of lines to really thanks Steve Wright, Mark McGilchrist and Larry Doherty who contributed again this year!
I'm taking this opportunity also to introduce you the new "CCA Support Banners": they are available for each year now for all, who supports the website with a gift at least of 5 € (each year).
You can see a banner preview below.
Hi Guys,
I've added maps - forum link for all user submitted scenarios. That way it will be easier to ask questions about special rules or send any kind of feedback.
I hope both "scenario designer" and players will like this function.
Thank you very much, Russell, for this great suggestion.
Another Year is passing by and we can turn back to see the path we followed:
2008 - launched www.commandsandcolors.net/ancients website
2011 - launched www.CCNapoleonics.net website
2013 - launched www.CCSamuraiBattles.net website
Right now these websites are full with every available expansion (as to say units, scenarios, rules, faqs, online game modules).
We have 564 scenarios on CCA, 107 scenarios on CCN, 20 scenarios on CCS.
In the past months I've also tried to cut off some of the continuous "spam attempts" and sadly I have unwittingly created login problem to some of you... I've also managed to resolve them but I'll take this opportunity to apologize with you.
Sometimes my intervention is timely, sometimes not so timely. So again, I want to Thank You for your patience.
In order to keep these three webistes online and running I'm here to ask for an effort to all users with whom I shared so far this wonderful adventure that I hope will continue for a long time.
