toganalper 7 : plaınscape 5
toganalper lost 15 blocks : plaınscape 30
It was very interesting to play with the new rules. The dice roll was one by plainscape after 3 tries. Pl opted for the extra card whereas I, toganalper opted for the extra leader, planning to form an extra cavalry wing.
Plaınscape went for the additional shooting power with two slingers, I went for the extra mobility together with the ldr, to overcome the command card shortage.
I opted with the additional moves to bring the heavys upfront and formed a cav group in the right flank. The fight started at the center. And actually all the fighting happened always at the center. Getting the cav together and at a good striking distance. I draw the cav charge which helped to get the game to my side
MichalK 7 banners won, 17 blocks lost
Mark McG 5 banners won, 31 blocks lost
That was very quick, bloody and... hilarious game. Both of us opted for extra card, Mark took 2 LS, and I LI and W.
We moved in center quickly - line command, double time, leadership any section. So we very quickly started to fight. And then strange things begin to happen - Mark lost leader on lc2, I lost a leader on lc2, then I lost my HI in range on 1d. The tide was turning but definitely I had better card - like FS or Mounted Charge and Mark's lack of center cards was very painful.
The MC card finished game, although previous attack on MI finished almost in disaster.
- if you want to remove the annoying "Extra" label just right-click on the unit, select "Label" from the menu and delete the text. Press Enter and the label will disappear;
- I don't know if people is ware of this but the last version of the module (3.3) contains a "solitaire" option. If you select it when watching a log file, you will be able to inspect both players hands.
Gonzo 7 banners 22 blocks lost
Stormwalker 3 banners 33 blocks lost
Gonzo choose card and 2 LS putting them on flanks and moving Ldrs onto spine hexes, Stormwalker choose card and W and LI, loading his right flank.
Game developed quickly with line commands on both sides and deadly skirmishing. Gonzo was able to eliminate some lt pinned units with minor damage. Stormwlaker's counters in middle never could roll 3 hits to eliminate damaged M units, and bb's were devastating. Stormwalker's Left MC killed an evading LI but then was attacked by Gonzo's MC with 3 hits. Only really outrageous roll of game. Gonzo ended up playing 3 LC, move medium, and a DT through game while Stormwalker's cards were good also with many Commands . Fun game and thanks to Stormwalker.
Well, I have the entire lineup of this systems but rarely play it. I would like to try playing in a tournament. When does the next one start? I assume you use Vassal? I wonder if I have enough time till then to brush up on the rules as I lack experience but wish to try and be somewhat competitive.
