I suggest to download the last update of vassal ver. 3.2.17 and use the last version of the module, ver. 3.3. In this way using Tools-> Refresh Counters in menu bar you can update game counters to the last version and use the auto-attacker auto-target facility (similar to CC:N or SB module). Remember to check the "use counter name to identify counters". In any case I attach an updated .vsav file for anyone to use.

I thought I'd posted this yesterday and it hasn't appeared in the thread......not sure why but sorry if it pops up twice.

Thank you for this, Giulio. It's been a while since I've used any of the C&C modules and I'm not familiar with the auto-targeting mechanism and exactly what functionality it adds.

I've updated both the Vassal engine and module but even following your instructions, it won't let me refresh the counters. I get the error message:

"Unable to Refresh Game
The Refresher can only be used on modules and extensions saved under Vassal 3.0 or later that have GamePiece Ids allocated."

In any event, this doesn't seem to affect the normal function of the module, as far as I can tell.

Auto-target/attacker are possible deceiving names I coined for the automatic removal or replacement of old markers when a new attack/target marker is placed.

Don't worry for the procedure and just use the file attached to my previous postl.

A reason why it didn't work may be because you forgot to check the "use unit name" option in the refresh counters window.

Just as a heads up, the AC6 scenario is in the extension UserMaps_ACxx.vmdx
available from
www.vassalengine.org/wiki/Module:Commands_%26_Colors_Ancients

lot of good scenarios on this extension, Alessandro knows how to make some good and interesting scenarios without the horde of special rules that sometimes accompany fan scenarios.

And also in the VASSAL game the Roman faction has a single leader. I'd rather keep the scenario as represented on this web site. I'll update the vsav file on my post above to reflect this.

Yes, definitely. Make it like the scenario picture looks.
I'm pretty sure the revised VASSAL game save posted by Michal has the 2nd Roman leader.
