Played yesterday for a 6 to 5 Athenian victory. This seems to be a fast scenario in which Athenians rush to leave the map and Spartans rush to engage the Athenian before they do so. Athenian troops are not so weak however and they can take their toll on Spartan exposed units. As in any "racing" scenario, the overall game seems very much affected by the initial hand of cards.
The Spartan army is stronger than the Athenian and the latter needs to exit troops to compensate. In our 5 games, they achieved this in 2 of them to secure a victory. The rest they lost, in one on the 4th turn as the Spartans opened with Double Time on their left, followed by Order Medium Troops, then Order Four Units on the Left and concluding with a Cavalry Charge: it was no contest.
