In the first game Carthage took the initiative with double time in the center. The Romans retaliated but did not keep the line and a unit got isolated. Another double time card from Carthage secured the victory.

In the second game it was pretty even in the center. Both lines advancing and scoring hits. The Romans got and played I am Spartacus, gaining an advantage in dice to secure a victory.

In your second game Turn 6 Rome, the Carthaginian LS evaded so the Medium Infantry with leader was not eligible for a MA and BC. And you killed leader with lc2 as well.

It seemed that everything was going pretty ok for Carthage. Mounted Charge for Elephant? Great! (but did not work). Multiple weakened Roman units to finish them of? Great! (did not work out). Important leader dying on leader check? Of course Well, tough game with Romans playing pretty well tactically and exploiting the Carthage weaknesses.

Pretty cautious game on both sides, which saw tons of missile fire exchanges. Both sides were closing in the center with heavy / medium forces while the Roman cavalry was raging on the wings. Carthaginian units were picked up one by one, while the Romans were able to hide their weakened units. Even elephant did not help, being killed by Auxilia.

Game 1 was close to the end with both sides suffering heavy losses in the center. Moenicaptus and his warriors dealt the fatal blow to an opposing warrior band.

Game 2 had Rome get out to an early 4 to 1 banner lead before Carthage evened things up with Mago pushing into the middle. The loss of Carthage's elephants and then a Roman MC sweep of some weakened warriors put an end to the battle.
