Game 1
Stanislav (Rome) 6 Banners
Gileforn (Carthage) 2 Banners
A bit of a chaotic battle with my Romands being a bit unfocused and doing a little advancing here, there and everywhere. Gileforn's Carthaginians mostly disciplined and focus on ranged fire. The bulk of the action took place on the Carthaginian left, where the Romans pressed hard, involving both infantry and cavalry. The Roman pressure was too strong in the end, although many Roman units end up being weakened and barely maintaining cohesion (aided by VERY helpful dice whereby my units survived attacks they simply should not have done). Carthage attempts some counterplay on both flanks, but the dice let them down. The final two Carthaginian units to fall are the Heavy Infantry of Hasdrubal and the accompanying Medium Infantry.
Game 2
Gileforn (Rome) 6 Banners
Stanislav (Carthage) 5 Banners
A much more structured confrontation as Gileforn's Romans advanced methodically with a couple of Line Commands and plenty of Light Infantry cover. The Romans employ their Medium Cavalry to great effect, causing panic on the Carthaginian left. I made a huge blunder by failing to provide support to a Light Infantry unit on the baseline, which was swiftly destroyed by a Roman Mounted Charge. Again, however, Gileforn's die rolls often meant that what should have been devastating attacks sometimes allowed me to battle back and stay alive a bit longer. A long battle, with plenty of missile fire from both sides, cavalry skirmishing and cautious maneuvers reaches its climax on the Roman right. The Carthaginians manage to destroy two units of Medium Infantry, two units of Medium Cavalry and one unit of Heavy Infantry. However, Rome's Laelius just about kept his Medium Infantry unit together in the face of a Darkened Sky. With his one-block unit, Laelius destroyed Bostar's one-block Auxilia and decaptiated Bostar himself. If Bostar had not fallen, surely Laelius would have dispatched Hasdrubal's one-block Medium Infantry instead. So drained were the Carthaginian forces in the centre and left.

Thanks to Andrey for two excellent battles. It was very tiny margins that decided it in the end. I definitely thought I would lose both battle on multiple occasions.
P.S. the log file from the first game somehow got corrupted. So I have uploaded the final game state as a .vsav. The second logfile seems to work.
