Game 1
Mark McG (Pontic): 7
Michael V (Roman): 4
most of the early action was on the Pontic Right, with the Pontic's trading a Chariot for Medium Infantry. Ultimately, the Pontics cleaned up on this flank, eliminating 4 units and the leader, and then crossing to the centre for the winning banner.
On the Pontic Left, the 36th Legion doubletimed forwards, but couldn't close with the evading cavalry. A mounted charge took one Heavy Infantry, but at the cost of the Chariots, and eventually the Heavy cavalry. The final indignity was a Pontic Light infantry evading away with 2 hits, and the follow up pila attack was a banner, causing his loss.
Romans won the Left, but Pontics won the right bigger.

Game2
Mark McG (Roman): 4
Michael V (Pontic): 7
Totally different game. Legio 36 doubletimed up to the Pontic line first move, and crushed unit after unit. Roman were up 4-0 and things were going well until Calvinus pushed his luck and tested himself against Phanacles. 3 hits weren't quite good enough, and the battle back got 4 hits, killed Calvin, and the ensuing reaction wiped out the 36 Legio. 4-4
I then advanced the Roman left, but failed to get to grips with the slippery Pontics. Meanwhile, the Pontic cavalry slid around the Roman right, and a mass Mounted charge took 3 banners in one round. 7-4
