Spectacular Mounted charge on behalf of India carried on in the right moment obliterated two heavy units and an auxilia. Unfortunately the noble leader disappeared in the mids of the battle and later on the mighty (African?) elephants turned the battle in favor of Seleukid. A bloody victory that costed the Successors their indispensable phalanx.

In this alternative world the Indians tried same Mounted charge but to pitiful results. The hammer of the heavy pikes in the center was bringing upon them the inevitable end but suddenly the tide turned. A hail of arrows and some reckless charges brought a bitter end to the Seleukid's ambitions.

Two very lopsided games, determined by unilateral good rolls (Pro Tip: make your opponent play on Friday the 13th while you are in a time zone with a different date). In the first game Seleucus died on the first turn by a spear and then the elephant and chariots destroyed the leaderless centre. In the second game the Indians attacked again but got mauled on the countercharge.

During the second game we got in a situation in which we did not know how to handle it. What happens when a unit with a leader dies on an evade action? Does the leader perform the evade move the unit would have, does he just do a leader evade starting from the initial hex or does he perform the evade and then additionally a leader evade?

My view is that the unit is eliminated first, and ergo the unit evade move doesn't happen. So the Leader takes a leader check and then does Leader evasion.

so a sequence of play solution

The 4th edition of the rules states that in case of evasion "the dice are rolled before the evasion".

scenario 123 Indus (306 BC) - help! I have no idea where this scenario is located. I looked on this site at the downloads and did not see it there. It's not in any of the C&C expansions. Where is it? Thanks. Some urgency here , as I am playing on Tuesday then leaving for 2 weeks on Wednesday (April 18.)

Download the first expansion "CCA Expansion1.vmdx" from the VASSAL module page and install it. The scenario should be there.

And in addition, the modules need to be placed in the folder "C&CAncientsv3.3_ext". If there is no such folder, it must be created.

Thanks for your responses. I found I had it loaded on Vassal - I just missed it as I was flipping through all he scenarios. Also, the "123" Indus threw me - I don't know where that "123" comes from. If it had said "Indus from Bonus Pack #2," I'd have found it right away.
