Game 1
Mark McG (Sertorian) 3 banners vs Carthage (Roman) 6 banners
One of those games filled with opportunity, but I could never quite get ahead of the curve. Always reacting, and although Sertorius chased Memmius off the map, he was killed with his cavalry in the riposte. End of the day, I just didn't kill enough..

Game 2
Mark McG (Roman) 5 banners vs Carthage (Sertorian) 6 banners
for all the good cards I didn't use in Game 1, Game 2 was a miserable hand. Never could really get going, and my best card was Counterattack. The Romans put up a decent fight, rolled decent dice, but never had the card power to pull together a decent assault.

The games were really excelent and very demanding.
And what happened in last two turns of first games will stay in my memory for pretty long time...

For all interested, I am attaching logs.

Game 1

scipio1zama (Sertorian) 6 vs Togan Alper (Roman) 4

Game 1 saw Togan’s Romans attack my Sertorian right and after a tussle, he had lost an MC, two MI and his leader Afranius to my one lost auxilia. However, he got immediate payback when his LS picked off my weakened MI AND got my leader Manlius as well. Then a battle in the center cost me an MI, but cost him two MI, giving my Sertorians the win, 6-4.

Game 2

scipio1zama (Roman) 6 vs Togan Alper (Sertorian) 4

Game 2 saw us both work to get our lines set up. His Sertorians hit first on the Roman left. My Romans came back on both flanks, did some damage, but received more damage in return, and the Sertorians led, 4 banners to 3. In a desperate attempt to at least reflect the first game’s score, Mike’s Roman MC with Pompey aboard moved up to attack a 1-block Sertorian MI, and succeeded to make the score 4-4. However, Togan’s Sertorians now had the opportunity to surround Pompey with an auxilia, a full strength MI, and a full-strength MC.

But good fortune smiled on Pompey’s MC as the MI (without the help of a leader) missed completely, and the Roman bb scored 3 hits. Then the aux attacked and got 1 hit, but missed the leader. The Roman bb scored no hit, but forced the aux to retreat, opening a retreat path for Pompey and the Roman MC. Finally, the full-strength MC, with Sertorius aboard, attacked Pompey’s MC – and scored just 1 hit while missing Pompey himself. The Roman bb missed completely.

Pompey, deep in enemy territory on a one-block MC – plays a Clash of Shields and attacks! A Roman MI rolls 6 dice and eliminates the 3-block aux, then Pompey takes out the 1-block Sertorian MI for the Roman win, 6-4. (Sorry to be so long-winded, but it was pretty exciting.)

Game 1
Sharpe08 (Roman) 6 versus Travis (Sertorian) 3
Most of the action happened on one flank in this game and my rolls ended up being pretty good as I won 6-3.

Game 2
Sharpe08 (Sertorian) 3 versus Travis (Roman) 6
Interesting game in that I thought I was in pretty good shape as I started my attack in the center. I attacked in the center with multiple units but was blown out by a first strike card that eliminated my 4 block heavy with 4 hits on on single 4d roll. Travis pretty much steamrolled me from that point on and won 6-3.

Really enjoyed this scenario. Not sure what happened to my log files from this round but it seems like they got corrupted and I can't upload them. If someone really wants them send me an email and I can try emailing them.

Game 1
Cavie (Roman) 3 versus Tony((Sertorian) 6
A couple of 'I Am Spartacus' plays from Sertorian side helped seal the game for them. Rome tried to make an attempt in the mid game but failed to take out any units. A timely Rally also gave new life to Sertorians and kept their advantage to the end.

Game 2
Cavie (Sertorian) 6 versus Tony (Roman) 3
Quite a bit of shooting in this one and both sides were connecting at about 30-40% of the time. Sertorians finally got a Double Time move in to get the real battle happening. Both games had Rome lose a leader and were played out very similar. Good scenario for Round 5!

Game 1
plainscape (Sertorians) 5 banners vs kirk (Romans) 6 banners
We skirmished on the Roman right flank and engaged in the center. The Serterian counter attack did not hold and the Romans crushed them.

Game 2
kirk (Sertorians) 2 banners vs plainscape (Romans) 6 banners
After trading arrows and sling bullets for much of the game, the Roman right flank engaged and crushed the Sertorian left flank. The Romans won a decisive victory that day.
