My opponent and I played a ridiculous game today. He was the Caesarians and I was the Numidians.

In a series of strikes and counter strikes, we got the block count up to 4 on each side and I had a Medium Cav with only one hit left. He marched a Medium Inf with Curio adjacent to it and set up a Light Slinger and a Medium Inf with one hit left for missile fire. Six dice, one retreat.

I got a double-time card and moved 2 Auxilia adjacent to his Medium Inf with one hit left. Six dice, one retreat and he did 2 hits to one of the Aux.

He moved his Medium Inf with Curio against my Aux with two hits. Four dice, scored one hit. My response did two hits and a retreat, which he accepted.

I moved my full strength Aux against his Medium Inf with one hit. Three dice, all missed. His response scored three hits.

He then moved his Medium Inf with Curio (one hit left) against my Aux (one hit left) and with four dice managed to score only one hit and won the game. We checked my return attack and it would have missed completely.

Very tense and a lot of fun with horrible die results.
