Played 3 games of this with a student at my school and Carthagian Army won twice, Syracusan once.

First play for Andrea (Gurgat) and myself, on VASSAL. My Carthaginians managed to get three units and bring down a Heavy and an Auxilia to 1 block, but lost in the end 3-5 against the superior Syracusans.

Terrible dice rolling for the Carthagians. Chariot charges did little, and they were sprinkled with arrows and Javelins until killed.
Then the fight shifted to the Carthagian left. Initially successful. But came to close to the heavies, who used a command card to advance 2 hexes and attack. The end was then quick to come.

3:5 in favor of Carthage, the complete loss of the Roman right flank. The chariot defeated three troops. Dionysius is dead. Carthage's right flank was also defeated, but Mago moved into the center and was able to repel the heavy infantry attack.
