Victory Banner Question

hi! I just started playing this great game and wanted to say that your site is an amazing resource and super helpful. well done!

question about victory banners and leaders: if i eliminate an entire unit but the leader survives his casualty check roll and is able to escape, do i still get a banner for destroying the unit?

or does the leader need to be eliminated as well in order to gain a banner?

Eliminating a unit is eliminating a unit and is worth 1 banner regardless of Leaders being there.

If you hit the leader as well then you'd get two banners.

seriously, your work on this site is hugely helpful. I've also enjoyed going thru your log files on vassal. My son and i played the game on the tabletop for hours over the holidays and it was really great to be able to get so many questions answered and see how the game plays. We're both brand new to this whole scene but digging it so far!

Need to start playing actual vassal games next. haha
