Leaders & victory banners

Greetings!

I'm Mosè from Italy, I just started playing CCA and I have some questions for you, mainly regarding the Leaders.

1. When a unit with an attached Leader loses a block after a fight, there is a Leader casualty check: I have to roll 2 dice and if I get 2 helmets the Leader is dead. Is that correct? If the Leader survives, he stays with the unit. Is that correct?
2. When a unit with an attached Leader loses its last block, a Leader casualty check is made with just 1 die: if a helmet is rolled, the Leader is dead. Is that correct? If the Leader survives, he has to retreat 1, 2 or 3 hexes and by doing so he can attach to other units. Is that correct?
3. When a player eliminates a unit but the Leader attached to that unit survives, does the player still collect the victory banner?
4. If in the next turn the same player also eliminates the Leader alone, does the player collect another victory banner? What if the player eliminates both the unit and the Leader attached to it in the same turn? Does the player collect two victory banners?
5. Do I need to do a Leader casualty check both in close combat and ranged combat?

A more silly question:
6. My board does not want to stay flat and that's very annoying while I'm playing: do some of you have some ways to make it stay completely flat?

Thank you :-)

2. Yes, Yes
3. Yes, for the eliminated unit
4. Yes, Yes ( 1 for unit, 1 for leader)
5. For every hit, ranged or melee
6. Perspex
