map editor was created by dagorman
Hi I was wondering what people are using to create user made maps?
Is ther an editor similar to the one on the days of wonder site for memoir 44 or battlelore for ancients?
Thanks in advance

Since no one is answering, I'll try. I think it might be the Hex Battle Scenario Editor found to the left in the Web Links section/C&C Ancients(Link 2)/Gaming Resources/Play Aids.

Hi all,
sorry for late reply but I was on my holiday period. :)

As joelat713 said "Hex Battle Scenario Editor" is good for creating maps.

In my opinion (as you can see on this website) maps created using Vassal looks better and also Vassal is easier and faster to use setting up units.
I usually create a map using Vassal for fast placing units and having a look at the entire maps.
You can also add terrains, texts... everything is needed.

I usually create maps to post directly on the website, so "formatting" and "pagination" is done automatically, but I'll post on download section a Word document (.DOC) to best suit personal publishing needs.
(I know that in some situation paper is better than screen).
:)

I've posted the file right now. You'll find it here
(or in the download section).

Hi Dave,
I'm happy that my advice helped you.
I've also found Hex Battle "complete" but also "tricky to use", so I prefer Vassal.

I hope to see some of your scenario posted on this website soon.
