Vassal Module - hand size function

The Medieval Module, which was based on the new CCA module, has recently had a "hand-size" function added - similar to the one in the CCN module.

Alessandro - do you maintain the CCA module and could the same be added to it, do you think ?

I think the important question is whether it can added without setting up all the scenarios again!

That would be a high price indeed. Unless I mis-remembered the sequence, I thought that the CCM function was added quite recently. Then again, for all I know, perhaps the scenarios were affected in that case?

I confess that my ignorance of the effort involved in setting up Vassal modules will be evident in any question or suggestion I make.

I can assure you that the conversion of the CCM Module from v1.21 to v1.3 did involve setting up all 19 scenarios again. However, there was a number of changes, and the Card counter might not have been the root cause.

But my experience is that changing the Module anything but slightly requires new scenario setups. I'm no expert though.
A lot of Ancients fan scenarios never made the transition from 3.3 to 4.1, because they were a lot of work to change over.

The card count is very useful in Napoleonics with the extra Tactician cards, but Ancients and Medieval have a fixed hand size. The notes would theoretically be enough.

It could be done in the ancients module too and probably, per se, it does not require to review the saved games. I should check it but I'm pretty sure it is so. I'm reluctant to release a new module with just this addition though. I did prepare a new release for ancients, to backport all fixes implemented in medieval (some are quite relevant) but in so doing I found a major issue with the scenario updater in ancients and neither me nor Alessandro have found a solution around it so far.
