Anyone or Mr. Borg create at game at sea with the same system?  So instead of light infantry you would control small ships that would move as card describe etc.  A Calvery could be ships with masts etc.  kind of like using pirates of the Caribbean.

you could even carry the troops to land etc,

maybe I’ll try to play if I can find some minis.

any thoughts?

Naval scenarios could be created such as:
  • Mylae (260 BCE)
  • Cape Ecnomus (256 BCE)
  • Aegates (241 BCE)
  • Actium (32 BCE)
It's certainly an interesting idea, but it would become a different game (more focused on naval battles than on combat between armies).

One could take inspiration from Red Alert (it's still about ships, after all!).

been a long running project, which I need to come back to

playtests have generally been successful, but there are a few things I still want to add
- crew experience
- weather
- finalise the Command Deck

the most significant difference is that ships move and can ram and shear during movement, then there is the usual battle phase with missile and melee attacks.
