I would think not. The HAND GRENADE card states:

Target: one ordered infantry unit.

The ordering of a unit typically happens on your turn as the offense.
The STRIKE FIRST command card is a reactionary defensive card that is played in your opponent’s turn.
I don’t think it the designer’s intent to allow you to use a markedly offensive card in a defensive situation.
