Hello and hi!
I have bought british field artillery. Owning now 5 units, I would like to know, if they are the same as german field artillery from Tank Expansion ruleswise, and if there are already any scenarios utilising them.

there are no official rules or scenarios for British Field Artillery, but you could use them in an early War scenario
MM01 - The Battle of Le Cateau - 26 August 1914

The Mortars are actually substitutes for British Field Artillery, which fought up to point blank range in this battle. The German Field Artillery rules would work quite adequately for their use.

That battle looks very interesting. Should be not stationary at all. :)

Can a Field Artillery unit occupy any terrain (such as Trench, or Fortified Position)?
Does it suffer any limitations to fire out of varied terrain?

My reading is that Field artillery can occupy any terrain, and there is no limitation
I'm figuring each unit is battery strength, and terrain hexes are a hundred meters across or more

It is clearly noted in the rules that MORTAR units and MACHINE GUN units may not take ground after a successful Close Assault battle. I can not find any similar limiting notes for a FIELD ARTILLERY unit.

It is also noted that the FIELD ARTILLERY, MACHINE GUN and MORTAR all have the same rule for movement (if they move, they may not battle on the same turn). This rule is only modified for the MORTAR and MACHINE GUN on the REPOSITION Combat Card.

Therefore, can a FIELD ARTILLERY unit take ground after a successful Close Assault combat?
And additionally, since the FIELD ARTILLERY is listed as a “Battlefield Soldier Unit”, may it also use the BATTLE FURY combat card for additional combat after taking ground?
