Mark
Presumably we're using the 75 card deck and the TC's, as before?

Thanks Mark. One last question. Any chance you could make the colours you use on the "match grids" more contrasting? Some of us are colour blind!
Cheers.

Any better? How it appears in the editor, vs the published page is remarkably different

I believe we are to report games on this thread? I apologize if this is the incorrect place...

Game 1
French (Cavie/Dan) - 2 Banners
Allies (Twan) - 6 Banners

Game 2
French (Twan) - 4 Banners
Allies (Cavie/Dan) - 6 Banners

The ranged mastery of the British was the deciding factor in both games. Some very accurate shooting took our many of the French units in Game 1 while in Game 2 it eliminated two leaders on two separate 2d leader checks.

On a side note, as I play this game more (the reason I wanted to get in this tourney) I'm appreciating the different route to strategies from the other C&C games. Twan was an exceptional opponent providing a good battle while being patient with my mistakes as I continue getting down the different units and their battle dice.

Thanks for posting the files. I watched most of the first one and it brought back distant memories of trying with the French in this one and getting messed up badly too.

I did notice a few small errors in the play. I think you should both be referring to your terrain charts whenever terrain and/or square is involved:

1. HC attacking the LN square downhill has no dice. Neither does the square against the HC. Thus, after surviving the first attack, the LN should have stayed put so it could form square again and be unharmed.
2. Same for the HC attacking the GG in square in the river. Both have 0 dice.
3. The LC must stop when it reaches the stream. It can't carry on through in on the same turn.
4. You can't come out of square AFTER combat has been initiated somewhere. It must happen during the movement phase, which precedes all combat.

Playing some of the other more experienced players in later rounds will definitely help with small things like this, and things will come back to you both quickly. But I still advise keeping those terrain charts handy until you know them by heart.
