A tight game where French up 7-0 blocks after 3 turns and eventually 5-2 medals. Initial Russian advance on right met with concerted French inf assault. Just as French seemed tocarry the flank, aRussian cold Steel with CA and leader initiative killed a 4 and 2 pt French LNs and leader and retreated the rest. French cav action incenter countered by Russian cav action with lossedRussina art and lt and French LC and lt. We both had rather miserable cards rest of game. French massed rifle fire minimally effective on L vs Russ Art. Russian leadership allowed HC to push French lt from town, next turn squarded ti and killed it with Russ adb=]vancing lt. Russ LC inot bridge obj. French Cav Chrge with 2 pt HC bounced with Russ tactic card and BB and next turn killed French HC and lucky art shot finished French GG on Russ right for last medal. Great game.

Game went 90 minutes. Russian started by advancing and reducing 2 French inf units in and beside center town to 1 pt, never ever killed them though. Russians maneuvered to blast French with art but OOS forced Russ 4pt LN and leader to rear. French moved cav to middle and then all hell broke loose. First French Cav charge squared up 3 Russ inf. Russ LT Cav and MLNCR countered, with the MLNCR rolling 3 arts against the French HA on momentum. It all went south for the Russians at that point. The Russ LC got one hit on the French HC which got 4 hits on BB. The Second French Cav charg targetted two Russian art and killed both on 1 roll. It was a ride down of Russian inf which could not square on overruns. Russian responses with cav wittled down the French cav, but couldn't kill them. The third French Cav charge blasted more Russian inf another Russ Lt Cav and forced Russian leader to flee. The French HC and LNCR finally succumbed, but live on in French legend. Now at 8 VPs, French cannon and rifle fire picked off two more Russian inf for win. Average dice for Russians, but everything French cav attacke or bb they hit. Thanks to Steve for great match. I think we are going to meet up early in WBC to play. Would love to get an Epis game going.

I have been very fortunate to play three tournament finals, coming in second in all of them. I have had games where everything went my way, cards and dice. Joe had one of those games in the final game 2. Three Cavalry Charges in a row the first putting three units in square leaving the Russians with two command cards. The second Charge got the fantastic rolls killing everything. The third Charge made it 8-1 French winning the tournament. Joe mercifully ended the game by rolling a ranged attack hitting three Infantry out of three dice. The first game was competitive the second was just French Cavalry hacking down Russians. Congratulations to Joe well played in both games. Sorry after being slaughtered I forgot to end file in the second game and do not have that one.
